Application Engineer – AI-Driven Security Solutions

Technical Implementation & Integration

• Deploy, configure, and customize AI-driven security applications in customer or internal environments
• Integrate AI based security tools with existing infrastructure (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, cloud platforms, identity systems)
• Support Incident response teams with AI security platform actions to overcome detection challenges and response
• Troubleshoot complex investigations, performance, and security issues across environments involved in incident chain.

Security & AI Enablement

• Manage and drive tuning of threat detection, anomaly analysis, and behavioral monitoring, followed by AI agentic investigations.
• Validate detection accuracy, false positives, and system performance
• Ensure secure application design aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements
• Support secure model lifecycle management (updates, retraining, versioning)

Customer & Stakeholder Support

• Act as a technical point of contact for customers, partners, or internal teams
• Provide technical guidance during pre-sales, proof-of-concept, and post-deployment phases
• Deliver technical documentation, best practices, and training sessions
• Translate customer security requirements into technical solutions

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with product management, R&D, data science, and security teams
• Provide feedback from real-world deployments to influence product improvements
• Stay current with emerging security threats, AI technologies, and industry trends

Predpoklady a zručnosti

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in application engineering, security engineering, or technical support
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts (threat detection, malware, network security, IAM, cloud security)
• Experience integrating enterprise software via REST APIs, JSON, authentication mechanisms
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or Bash)
• Experience with used industry environments and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with customers

• Experience with XDR Security based tools or data-driven analytics platforms (Defender, Sumologic, Splunk, Crowdstrike, )
• Excellent knowledge of SIEM/SOAR, security platforms or security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST)
• Hands on keyboard in detection content creation.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, AWS/Azure Security, or similar are advantages
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments

Ďalsie informacie

The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-office meetings in Bratislava. The form of cooperation can be either full-time employment (TPP) or freelance (trade license), and the remuneration is open for discussion.
